A hugely successful organization and industry leader in Secure Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) and Secure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) is seeking a customer-facing Senior Network Engineer to join its team. This company is extremely well-established and has seen tremendous growth over recent years.

This new position is open due to the development and evolution of the department, which will allow this individual to truly take ownership and be responsible for the deployment and onboarding of premier customers into the company’s infrastructure. You will be accountable for critical escalations, mentoring team members, assisting solutions architecture, and ensuring that challenges are addressed promptly and effectively.

You’ll work with the infrastructure team and clients, acting as a senior network deployment engineer responsible for the customer experience during onboarding. You’ll provide complete ownership and accountability of all responsibilities assigned during customer implementation projects as well as serve as a mentor and escalation point for a global team of Service Delivery Engineers.

General Responsibilities:

• Manage and troubleshoot networking configurations, including switches, firewalls, load balancers, and IPSEC VPNs for customer deployments
• Design and architect network topologies for diverse environments
• Develop and maintain deployment processes as technologies and permissions change
• Document steps taken, problems incurred, and resolution of issues for customer review
• Provide technical, hands-on contributions to deployments, project management, and consulting services, as needed.
• Communicate effectively with customers, sales team, and project team on a frequent basis

General Qualifications:

• 7+ years of recent experience as a technical, hands-on Cisco network engineer
• Preferred qualifications include Cisco CCNP certification or higher, or equivalent vendor certifications
• Strong working knowledge of networking protocols and technologies including BGP, IPsec, network segmentation, VRFs, Switching, SD-WAN, VLANs and load balancers is preferred.
• Experience with virtualization clusters (VMware) and software-defined networking, VMware NSX is strongly preferred.
• Experience deploying virtual appliances in cloud preferably: Cisco, Fortigate, Palo Alto, Netscaler, F5, SonicWall OR Juniper Networks
