Software Development Manager / Tech Lead

Microsoft Stack (C# / .NET, Azure, SQL, React)

SUMMARY:

One of our clients in downtown Chicago (River North) is searching for a Software Development Manager / Tech Lead to guide a team of 5 microsoft developers and to oversee 2 proprietary products.

LOCATION:

This is an in-office / hybrid role: It is expected that you are in-office 3 days a week: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

SALARY:

This role is budgeted up to 150K + 10% Bonus.

A BIT ABOUT THE COMPANY & ROLE:

Our client has deep roots and they are owned by a much larger company, with 3 branches. The branch you would be a part of is the fastest growing, most innovative branch with a “startup” feel. They are in a strong growth phase right with a bright future ahead. If hired, you would be working on two proprietary products – The 1st is just 1 year post MVP and has a large roadmap of improved and new functionality and strong enhancements, which you will lead. The other is a mature product with less need for enhancements, so you’ll have a good mix of build and maintain. You will also support integrations and their Transportation Management systems.

REQUIREMENTS

Our client requires the following:

• 7+ years of development experience
• 2+ years experience as a dev manager and/or team lead
• 3+ years experience in C# / .NET preferably with Azure, SQL, React, API’s, Git, & MongoDB)
• 1+ year experience with distributed messaging platforms
• 1+ year experience architecting & leading development
• 1+ year experience with systems migration, data migration and/or platform integration

PREFERRED BACKGROUND

Our client prefers the following:

• 3+ years of experience in a Scrum / Agile environment
• 2+ years of experience working for a 3PL or Trucking Company
