SENIOR / LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER – React and Typescript

One of our clients, a VC funded legal/compliance technology company founded in 2019 is in the crosshairs of having the #1 product in an exploding market, and some fascinating market timing. Due to some changes in the law that hit in 2024, they are currently hitting HUGE inflection point in growth. They are looking to hire a Senior / Lead Front End (React/Typescript) developer to join as a Senior player and tech lead on a small team of 6 devs – You would be hired not only to meet current needs, but also positioned as a key player for years to come.

They are technically still in their Seed round, but they have raised several extensions and they are now backed with 2+ years of runway, strong revenue, and booming leads and almost overwhelming business hitting their plate right now. This is truly the “moment of truth” for the company, and you’d be joining at the beginning of what might realistically be a 10x phase of growth – This is the type of role and timing that most startup developers, like you, often dream of being a part of. The VC firms behind them are saying that “this is one of the most tech forward, valuable products in the space”, and as such, they believe that have all the seeds and growth potential to be the #1 business in their whole VC portfolio in the coming 12-24 months.

 

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7+ years of Front End focused Software Development experience
  • 4+ years of experience of production experience on React and Typescript
  • 2+ years of technical leadership experience
  • Full Stack development exposure (They also use AWS, Django, Python, and Postgres)
  • Willingness to contribute to an on-call rotation
  • T-Shaped Development experience (i.e. you are both a tech generalist and can contribute across the stack, but you have also become an SME and owner of specialized areas of your company and product

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT

  • Examples of product, customer, and a business focused mentality
  • Examples of a problem solving mentality
  • High growth startup experience and/or demonstrable ownership mentality within a large firm (For example: having recently worked at an incubator or “new” department within a larger company OR experience at a high growth, VC funded, tech startup though Seed, A, and/or B rounds)

 

COMPENSATION / BENEFITS

  • Target salary: 150K – 170K
  • Target equity: (0.25% – 0.5%)
  • Unlimited PTO
