Originally from Davenport, Iowa, Garry moved to Denver in 1997. After 4 years as a professional recruiter in Colorado, working at both a start-up and a national firm, Garry embarked on a 15-month sabbatical to travel the world. Upon returning to Denver, he joined EKS&H, one of his former executive search clients, as an internal recruiting consultant. Over 18 years and multiple promotions, Garry “retired” from Corporate America as the head of HR for a 750+ person professional services organization.
In 2020, Garry joined High Country, leveraging his understanding of hiring from both internal and external perspectives. His long-term approach to business relationships aligns perfectly with High Country’s commitment to providing high-quality placements to both candidates and organizations. Garry graduated from the University of Iowa with a BS/BA in Management & Organizations and holds certifications from SPHR, PHR, AIRS, NAPS, and LinkedIn. Beyond his professional pursuits, Garry enjoys running, triathlons, camping, hiking, and is a proud father to Nicholas and Parker, and a loving husband to Mary.
