About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join a collaborative and growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys owning key accounting processes, leading month-end activities, improving efficiencies, and mentoring team members in a dynamic environment.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys balancing day-to-day accounting operations with process improvement initiatives. This role offers broad exposure across general accounting, payroll, compliance, and systems while working closely with cross-functional teams.
What You'll Do

Lead and coordinate the monthly accounting close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assigned activities.

Manage general ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and account analysis.

Review vendor invoices to ensure proper coding and approval.

Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, resolving outstanding items promptly.

Oversee daily cash application and related accounting activities.

Administer payroll processing and record associated accounting transactions.

Coordinate sales and use tax filings and annual 1099 reporting.

Support SOX compliance activities, maintain internal controls, and identify opportunities to strengthen accounting processes.

Partner with internal teams and external auditors to provide requested documentation and support.

Supervise and mentor staff by reviewing work, providing guidance, and supporting professional development.

Serve as a key user of the company's ERP system, helping optimize accounting workflows and supporting future system enhancements.

Recommend and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience leading or mentoring accounting staff.

Experience with ERP systems, and working through optimization.

Experience processing payroll.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Solid understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, and internal controls.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Compensation:
Base salary between 120K – 140K
